The Best Places to Sit, Stay + Play with Your Pooch

WhynotMEpet of the Week: Goo

(CityDog Global) Hey! Howl you doin’? I’m Goo, a 6-year-old male Labrador Retriever & Pit Bull Terrier mix. You can adopt me at Forgotten Dogs Rescue in Seattle, and I promise you won’t have any problem adding me to the family!

About Me:

Last 2015, I was finally fostered, but things became ruff, and I’m back to the adoption, looking for my forever person with who I can shower all of my love and give hugs 24/7.

Sit, stay, down, off, wait, go, stop, leave it are just some of the words I can easily follow, and teaching me new tricks won’t be a hassle. In fact, I can shake both my paws and give high fives!

I’m well-behaved in public and look to my owner for guidance. I know how to focus cues like look and touch, so it’s easy to refocus for me when I become diverted. They always call me a smart boy.

Animal Interactions:

I could be in a home with an energetic female dog partner with a proper introduction, but I’d love to be the only furbaby of my owner!

The type of home I’m looking for:
  • Since my playstyle is very physical and mouthy, I need fur parents that enjoy going for walks, playing a game of fetch, or having zoomies in the yard. Also, I need my family to make my mind work by teaching me new tricks and commands.

  • Sometimes I get a bit protective, so I need my owner to teach me when I should get to be defensive.

  • I’ll do better in a home without small children and cats.

#WhynotMEpets is a statewide campaign that gives cats and dogs needing more care and attention a greater chance of finding a home as quickly as possible. Its mission focuses on animals that have been homeless for two months or longer; are elderly; have behavior or medical needs; aren’t thriving in the shelter environment; or make up a large percentage of the shelter population, such as bully breeds. These are the animals asking “Why not me?” To learn more, visit pawsitivealliance.org/whynotmepets.
